CAD Architects
As some of you may already know I was the in-house Graphic Designer for CAD Architects, based in Truro, Cornwall, for many years. During my time there I created new websites, print work, wall artwork, corporate stationery, social media profiles plus various other branded documents/media.
In recent years I have been doing some freelance work, mainly print work, for the company but last year they approached me to recreate the look and feel of their old website but as a brand new build using WordPress.
The Project
We built the website on a brand new hosting package, to minimise disruption to the live website, then simply reassigned the domain name. There were many links to various planning consultation documents etc that needed to be carefully redirected as clients already had these details. We also optimised a vast amount of large images that were slowing the website down and implemented some SEO suggestions from a third party.
There will no doubt be some updates and changes to be done at a later date as the website portfolio expands. We continue to do a share of the website management alongside CAD on a retainer basis.
